Day-by-Day Itinerary

Depart to Tarangire: Depart to Tarangire National Park (approx. 2 – 3 hours’ drive)

Full Day Game Drive: Encounter and explore high concentration of elephants, rich wildlife, diverse savanna landscape with massive baobab trees and impressive birdlife.

Depart to Southern Serengeti: Depart to Southern Serengeti (approx. 4 – 5 hours’ drive)

Afternoon Game Drive: In this time of year (December-March), the Great Migration moves to this southern area of Serengeti (Ndutu) coinciding with the calving season for wildebeests. It offers a unique game viewing experience with abundant wildlife including wildebeests, zebras and other herbivores as well as resident predators like lions and cheetahs.

Full Day Game Drive: Depart for a full day game drive in this crucial part of the Serengeti in this time of the year until sunset.

Depart to Central Serengeti: Later, depart to Central Serengeti (approx. 2 hours’ drive)

Full Day Game Drive: Explore the most popular region in the reserve for its abundant wildlife, large numbers of big cats and quintessential Serengeti landscapes of acacia-studded savanna. Resident wildlife makes this part of the Serengeti a fantastic year-round destination.

Depart to Ngorongoro Crater: Depart to Ngorongoro Crater (about an hour drive)

Half Day Game Drive: Explore a unique deep, volcanic crater, un-flooded and unbroken caldera, it’s about 200 kms across, 600 kms deep and 300 sq. kms in area. Approximately 30,000 animals live on the crater floor including the Big 5\!

Depart to Arusha: Later in the afternoon, depart back to Arusha (approx. 3 – 4 hours’ drive), arriving in the early evening.
